ABOUT ME

I am blessed to have been a Georgian all of my life. I grew up in far north Georgia, just outside of Chattanooga, TN. Although I graduated from Ringgold High School, I attended school in Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe through my freshman year of high school. I later attended Dalton State College where I earned an Associate of Science Degree in Education. Following my graduation from Dalton State, I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of West Georgia at Carrollton. I graduated Cum Laude with each of my degrees, and I am certified by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission in multiple areas, including Special Education and ESOL. My experience spans multiple grade levels and school systems, such as Fulton and Bartow Counties as well as Charter Schools USA. I am thrilled to be a part of the incredible people of Pickens County Schools and am excited to now call myself a PHS Dragon.

I am married and have two daughters,a stepson, a grandson, a granddaughter arriving in November of 2016, and three Shih Tzus. We moved to Cherokee County in 2005 and lived in Woodstock until our family moved to Canton in 2012. The area where we live is beautiful, but we definitely see a home in Pickens County in our future. â€‹â€‹
